Hello, and thanks for looking at my profile. I’m told I’m fun, funny, adventurous and active—although my jokes may need a little patience. I’m also romantic and hope to find a loving relationship where we both care for each other and enjoy making each other happy. I enjoy being outdoors, country walks, road trips, cycling most days, music, trips abroad, reading and finding new places to eat. I also sail from time to time, but it’s completely optional—and if you ever fancy giving it a try, I’d be happy to teach you. I prefer a country pub to a hotel, rock music to classical, pool to football, and a relaxed evening with friends rather than anything too formal. I can dress smartly when needed, but I’m happiest in jeans.

I enjoy simple things that are better with someone else: a walk followed by lunch in a cosy pub, live music, a good chat over dinner, and a film or series on the sofa—hopefully before one of us falls asleep. I like trips to be planned enough to avoid a disaster, but with room for a little fun and the odd wrong turn.

I’m mostly retired and would like to meet someone for a close relationship. I’m looking for someone active, healthy, warm and affectionate. If things develop naturally over time, I’d be open to building a shared life together and enjoying adventures—some planned, some spontaneous, and ideally with a good pub along the way.

My Love of Music

My favourite music is rock, pop and blues, but I like lots of other music too, and I’m happy to try something new. I often make playlists, and I sing in the car. Don’t worry—I can stop if asked. Music is part of my everyday life.

Staying Active & Healthy

I like to stay active and healthy so I can enjoy life to the fullest; I enjoy walks, treks, road trips, cycling, and sailing adventures—with time for a good lunch, too. I’d like to meet someone who wants to share an active, happy life and make some great memories together.

I eat most things and with a healthy slant, yet not fanaticaly.

Road Trips

I love the freedom of getting in the convertable and heading somewhere new. I love driving with music along coastal roads and through quiet mountain areas. I enjoy finding unexpected places—even when the scenic route was really a wrong turn. It would be lovely to have someone to talk to on a long drive and watch a sunset with at the end of the day. We could explore new places together, one trip at a time.

Sailing - Only if you Fancy it

I enjoy sailing now and then, but it isn’t something you need to do. You don’t need any experience or even have to be interested in it. If you would like to try, I’d be happy to teach you slowly and let you go at your own pace. If it isn’t for you, that’s fine—we can enjoy plenty of other things together.

I started my training company over twenty-five years ago. It grew because of a close, hardworking team, and many of us are still friends today. The business was built on honesty and good values, and I’m proud that it continues to support twenty families.

My Ideal Partner

I’m looking for someone who has similar values and maybe some of the same interests. I’d like a close, loving and affectionate relationship based on loyalty, honesty and enjoying life together. A good sense of humour would also help with my questionable jokes. I value a true partnership, kindness and a strong work ethic. It’s about connection, not status or what job someone has done. I have friends from all walks of life and prefer traditional values. My politics are slightly right of centre.

Lifestyle

I believe a good life is about being honest, caring and sharing the same values. I like active days, but I also enjoy quiet time. A morning walk can be just as good as getting lots of jobs done. I’d like to meet someone who is open about how she feels and who enjoys both quiet mornings and exciting trips. Even simple things can feel special with the right person—even deciding whose turn it is to make the tea or what music to put on.

Family

Family is very important to me. I enjoy Sunday dinners and quiet times together. I have an 18-year-old son at university studying engineering, and a 15-year-old daughter. She is very independent, resilient, and social; she spends every other week with me. My ex has her anytime I'm away, so my time is flexible.

Friends and Good Company

Life is better when it is shared. I enjoy spending time with friends, meeting new people, and being part of the local community; I love sitting outside cafes, near and far. I care about the people in my life and like making them feel welcome—although a quick message before turning up is always helpful.
